An online calculation pad that updates as you type
Equation Pad is a live math sheet for the web: click anywhere on the graph paper, type an equation and it is typeset and calculated at once. Change a number and everything below follows, like a spreadsheet, but every step stays readable.

A dynamic math editor on graph paper
Each sheet is squared engineering paper. Click where you want a line and type; drag lines to arrange them; put two calculations side by side. Text, pictures, drawings and spreadsheets go anywhere on the page.
Live math with units
v := d/t = km/h shows the speed in km/h; v = m/s shows the same value in m/s. Units are checked and converted for you, see the unit calculator.
More than a notepad
- Solve equations and systems, integrate and differentiate: equation solver.
- Matrices of any size: matrix calculator.
- Graphs with a read-out under the mouse.
- Short programs with if, for and while, also written the Python way.
- A drawing board for sketches and a 2D/3D drawing editor.
Lightweight and in the browser
There is nothing to install and no licence server. It opens in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook, and your calculation pad stays on your own computer.
A modern alternative to desktop math software
If you are used to desktop calculation programs or to spreadsheets with hidden formulas, Equation Pad keeps what works (live recalculation, units, typeset maths) and drops the installation, the licence keys and the price tag of a department tool.
