Opening .eqnpad files
An .eqnpad file is an Equation Pad worksheet: the calculation sheets with their equations, text, spreadsheets, pictures, drawings, title block and settings, in one small file. You can open it online, in your browser, with nothing to install.

How to open an .eqnpad file
- Go to equationpad.com/app.
- Choose File ▸ Open (Ctrl+O) and pick the file, or open it from your Google Drive or OneDrive.
- The worksheet opens with every result calculated.
Export an .eqnpad file to PDF
After opening it, File ▸ Export ▸ PDF makes a PDF at true paper size. You can also export a .docx document, a web page that opens anywhere, or the spreadsheets as .xlsx or .csv files.
What is inside
An .eqnpad file is plain text (JSON) that holds the worksheet and nothing else: no program code and no tracking. Old worksheets from earlier versions open and are brought up to date.
Sharing a worksheet
Send the .eqnpad file when the other person should be able to change the calculation, or the PDF when they only need to read it. File ▸ Share does either by email or your device’s share menu.
