Equation Pad

A calculation report generator that is also the calculator

With Equation Pad there is no separate step for the report: the calculation is written on report pages from the start. Title block, logo, sign-off boxes, page numbers and footer are already there, and the finished calculation becomes a PDF or a .docx document in one click.

The title block of a calculation report with logo box and sign-off boxes.

A custom header and sign-off boxes on every sheet

Project, job number, sheet number, what is calculated, revision, calculated by, checked by and approved by, each with a date, and your company logo. Rename the captions to match your practice, for example “Designed by” or “Project No.”.

Export the calculation sheet to PDF

The PDF is made in your browser at true paper size (A4, A3, A5, Letter or Legal), with the squared paper grid if you want it. No print dialog, no plug-in, and nothing is uploaded.

Calculation reports as .docx documents

Need the calculation inside a larger report? Export a .docx document: text and spreadsheets stay editable, equations, graphs and drawings come as sharp pictures, and the page size and margins follow your page setup.

Everything a report needs

  • Typeset equations with units, so the working reads like a hand calculation.
  • Text with headings, numbered lists and bullets for assumptions and references.
  • Spreadsheets for load tables and schedules.
  • Sketches from the drawing board and dimensioned drawings from the 2D/3D editor.
  • Graphs, matrices and short programs.
  • Private notes for the checker that never print.

A printable calculation pad

Prefer paper? Print directly: each sheet prints exactly as it looks on screen, with the title block, the grid and the footer.
