An engineering calculator that shows your working
Coursework, lab reports and design projects need the working, not just the answer. Equation Pad lets students write each step like on paper, with units, and get neat calculation sheets that are easy for a tutor to follow and to mark.
Try the beta version Plans and prices

Write it like your notes
m := 1200 kg
a := 2.5 m/s^2
F := m*a = kN
W := m*g = ?2 kN
"The net force is " + F =
Units are checked and converted for you, g is standard gravity (9.80665 m/s²), and ?2 shows exactly two decimal places.
Calculus, matrices and solving
Definite integrals, derivatives, sums, roots, systems of equations and differential equations; matrix inverse, determinant, eigenvalues and linear systems. See the equation solver and the matrix calculator.
Graphs for lab reports
Plot functions and measured data, several in one graph, as lines, points, bars or areas, with your own axis titles. See the graph plotter.
Neat sheets to hand in
Headings and styles that stay the same through the whole document, numbered lists, a title block with your name and module, and a PDF or .docx in one click, with the browser’s spelling check in your text.
Free while in beta
Equation Pad runs in the browser on any laptop or a Chromebook, with nothing to install. The beta is free to use; see the plans for after launch.
Questions
